Black and White

FURRY HEADBAND: PRIMARK
SWEATER: ASOS

You may recognise these boots as the boots that featured on my latest wishlist a few days ago....yes I caved and bought them and i dont regret a single action I took whilst buying them. They are such amazing quality, super comfy for trekking round the shops during the mad black friday weekend and a great investment. I've also realised that the main 3 pairs of shoes i generally rotate during a typical week are all from Zara, I definitely cannot get enough of their shoes/bags.

How is it the first of december tomorrow?! i honestly cannot get my head round where the year has gone, this year has definitely been the year that I've changed the most. I've experienced a burglary, an internet scam, festivals, a dissertation, and really established some amazing friendships at uni. This year I've definitely learnt to just be you, and learnt to live life, don't sweat the small stuff and do what makes you happy. I'm hopefully going to be attempting Vlogmas this year on my YouTube channel as I have a lot going on this month which I'm SUPER excited about and what better to show you and document it than record it? :) I can't guarantee i'll be uploading everyday though as I do have a lot of deadlines, but i'll definitely give it my best shot.

Christmas Gifts Ideas For Him/Her

I've had such a hard time this year trying to gather ideas for my boyfriend and Ive definitely been taking advantage of the 'black friday' deals! I've taken a lot of inspiration from other blogs and these are just a few bits that I think you definitely can't go wrong with for Christmas for your other half. I especially have my eye on that iphone photo printer, such a unique and lovely idea for instant photos! Also, you can never go wrong with a pair of basic Calvin Kleins.

These are just a few bits to buy a friend, a sister, or even ideas to give someone for what you'd like to receive this year, if like me you are stumped. I'm definitely lusting after a filofax, as theres just something so satisfying about having an organised planner...it makes me believe my life is more organised then i think it is!

Hope some of these help and please vote for me for The Bloggers' Lounge fashion blogger of the year, i'd really appreciate it! You can vote HERE.

Dogtooth

BOMBER: WEEKDAY
FURRY HEADBAND: PRIMARK
SKORT: TOPSHOP (similar)

About a year late, i finally caved into the dogtooth print, definitely unlike me as I'm not usually a fan of prints. I've also had one of those strange weeks thats never happened before, but all week good luck has just been on my side: job interviews, gifts, work productivity-its strangely a good week! Also, for some strange reason, it was the first time this year i woke up feeling Christmassy! My boyfriend woke me up today to coffee, breakfast in bed and candles lit around the room, whilst the blinds were open showing the most wintery view, definitely such a lovely start to the day. Plus, my furry headband bought as an early birthday present makes me feel extra wintery whilst i brave the cold walk to uni.

A few weeks ago i entered The Bloggers' Lounge competition for fashion blog of the year, thinking nothing of it. Yesterday I found out that i'm actually a finalist with 4 other lovely bloggers and its made me feel over the moon! I can't express how happy I am that my little blog that I'm very proud of is getting some recognition. It would make my day if you could take a minute and vote for me to win HERE.

Thankyou to anyone that votes!

VLOG: WEEKEND IN EDINBURGH

I just thought i'd share my vlog of my weekend away in edinburgh last weekend! I went up for two nights with my boyfriend and saw my two best friends from school. We mainly met up to see Annie Mac Presents, but also managed to mooch up to carlton hill for amazing views and the christmas markets. I'm thinking of doing vlogmas but in two minds! It would be amazing to do but its so nerve wracking filming my life everyday, please let me know what you think!

November Wishlist

hiiiii

As I'm currently a bit run down from my weekend away in Edinburgh, i thought i'd do a little wishlist post for this month while i sit snug in bed with my green tea, recuperating! I fell in love with all these items and especially the black monki clutch bag which can also fold out and double as a shopper- definitely what i need, a clutch bag that fits the same amount as a full sized bag!

I'm currently working and editing my Edinburgh vlog which will be up in a few days on my YouTube. I didn't manage to film too much as i needed a weekends break away but don't forget to take a nosey when it goes live!

Matte Metallic

TOPSHOP- USUAL SUSPECTS

The words 'matte' and 'metallic' are not two words i'd usually put together, especially with nail polish. I came across this polish the other day whilst i was frustration shopping and it definitely intrigued me. After a very quick (perhaps too quick) purchase, i got home and applied it.

I absolutely love the brush & formula of this polish as it went on my nails like an absolute dream, as application is something which i find very hard to do. The colour is a grey with purple in some lights, with a metallic shine...but matte. Its probably the hardest colour and texture I've ever had to describe in a nail polish and i'm so sorry i'm doing a rubbish job. All i'd say is i'd definitely recommend this polish. Its a gorgeous and unique colour, perfect for the festive season without being too 'in your face christmassy' which is a bonus!

Baggy Fit

JUMPER: ZARA
SHOES: ZARA

Today I had one of those days where i just felt so..meh. I didn't want to wear anything fitted to my body, meaning jeans and tight trousers were definitely out. This is probably one of the comfiest outfits i've worn in a long time, and also proves that you can wear comfortable, baggy clothes, without looking a million stone heavier than you already do! I also wore this outfit without a jacket (i know, shock horror for this country), however i was probably the warmest i've been all week as i think this jumper just trapped in all the heat my body had!

I'm spending the upcoming weekend in Edinburgh which i'm super excited about, and will definitely document on here! I've really got into the swing of scheduling posts, so me being away shouldn't effect the regularity of posts (thank goodness for that-jokes).

The Basics

JACKET: PRIMARK
JEANS: TOPSHOP

I thought i'd show a little outfit post on the down right basics that i tend to wear for average days at uni, sat in the library for hours on end typing up my dreaded dissertation. I usually opt for outfits similar to this, comfortable and simple AND also fab for layering. I recently showed this fab structured primark jacket on my haul video, however i've not even featured it in an outfit post yet! Word on the block is that its now £4 in stores, down from the £7 i bought it at!

Finding Blog-spiration

This kind of post is something i think a lot of people can relate to. Sometimes i find it hard to have the motivation to blog, or even to find inspiration to have things to blog about. So i decided to compile a little list of things that help me find blogging inspiration and then have the motivation to blog, as i know sometimes it can feel like you're a little bit 'stuck.'

Read other blogs
This is probably the most obvious one, but when i'm in a little blogging 'rut' one of the best things that helps me is simply reading other blogs to find inspiration. Maybe theres a certain outfit that may kick start inspiration for your own outfit, or someone has done a type of post you've never even thought of before.

Pre-plan posts for the week
I keep a diary every day for my tasks and appointments during the day which helps me stay organised but sitting down at the start of the week and writing down a little clear plan of which days i'm going to blog and specifically what i'm going to blog about really helps me to be motivated. sometimes if i haven't blogged for a while, getting back into the swing of things can be hard, so i do aim to try and post every other day/every day.

Leave the house
If you're seriously lacking blogging motivation and you're sat staring at your computer screen stressing out over what to write about, sometimes the best thing to do is to just leave the house. Go for a walk, go out for food, do some exercise or even plan a little trip. This can make the world of a difference as it clears your mind so you're able to think stress free again.

Tumblr/Pinterest
These are just two websites that i visit on a regular basis for outfit inspiration, I love the photography on each of these sites and they really do help me get my mojo with outfit ideas!

Keep a tidy work area
This point is probably one of the most important ones. I'm definitely a huge believer in tidy work area, tidy mind. When my room is a tip, i seem to be the most unproductive being in the world. When i'm planning posts or i'm writing a post, i make the extra effort to tidy my whole room, light some candles, play some music and open all the windows for fresh air. I get soo much more work done this way, and the work that i get done is good quality as I feel like a tidy room gives my mind space to think.

I hope some of these tips help if you're ever in a blogging rut like i am!

Shifty

RUNNING SHOES: ZARA

This is definitely going to be the last bare legs outfit of 2014, as i definitely picked the coldest, windiest day to take these photos ever! These are probably about the only photos where my hair is flying about all over the place.

I've been looking for a casual white shift dress for so long and this ASOS dress was definitely up my street, is super comfy and light and easily teamed with tights for the upcoming colder months. There's also a UNiDAYS 20% off ASOS starting at 8am tomorrow and ending tuesday at 9am so get shopping!

p.s i also have no idea why my pictures won't edit properly and align! been having a blogger nightmare!

Fur Collar

TOP: TOPSHOP
TRAINERS: ZARA

It's actually been longer than i can remember, since i last shopped online, purchased an item of clothing and have worn it on my blog. I set myself a little challenge for the past two months, not to buy any new clothes and to create and mix different outfits with the clothes i already have, my style is after all, minimalist. I've also been wanting to save money for a trip of a lifetime next summer, along with not being able to find anything i loved enough to create an outfit with.

This all changed when i came across this AMAZING faux fur collar from ASOS. it goes with absolutely anything and just completes any dull outfit i already have on. Its super warm and is literally the softest thing i have ever felt, i can't take it off!

Babyliss Conical Wand & Hair Styling Routine

My 6yr old curlers finally gave out a few weeks ago so I thought i would search the web to find a good pair of curlers, however without splashing the cash. I read countless positive reviews on the Babyliss pro conical, and i was super impressed with the price so i decided to take the plunge. It came literally a day or two after ordering so i didn't have to wait long at all to try it out. One thing I love about these curlers is that you need to push two different buttons to turn it off and on. Sounds silly but i've used multiple curlers/straightners where its only been one button or even a slider to turn it on and off, and i've accidentally turned it off by using it so many times. It heats up to any of the 25 heat settings fairly fast and is indicated by a green light. Before use, i'll wash my hair, condition and take a small drop of Argan Hair Oil and rub it into my hair. When using it, i only had to hold my hair round the tong for 15 seconds and a lovely loose wave was formed. I do this all over my hair which literally takes 5mins and then i put my extensions in to add some texture, giving them a once over with the wand also.

I'll brush all the curls out and then I take a large pea sized amount of this and rub it into my hair, scrunching the curls as i rub it in. I find this holds the curls and stops my hair being static, as my hair is always static! After letting it set for a few mins, i'll brush my hair out again. I love this stuff, its last ages and i'm on my second pot of it.

To give the messy beachy waves look, i'll just spray a few pumps of this on my hair, scrunching the curls as i go also. I definitely prefer using this to hair spray, as i still want my hair to be able to move, and not have the 'hairsprayed' look.

To give my hair a final little shine, i take a a teeny tiny amount of this and just run it through my hair. I actually got this in a magazine and i'm so surprised at the quality of it!

I hope this gave you an idea of how i achieve my loose waves, whilst also giving a review of an amazing, yet great value curler!

November Blogger Faves

As the weather has been completely miserable lately and I've had two failed attempts at outfit posts, I thought i would bring forward my monthly favourite bloggers, which also includes a beauty blog this month! As i read just as much beauty as fashion, as I need to have amazing reviews on a skin product before I take the plunge and purchase. These ladies all have amazing blogs so please check them out!
